Speculation on urban problems

It is  often said that main cause of urban problem is due to

overpopulation of the limited land.  It means that the city can't

provide better circumstances in favor of human well-being for

several reasons.

First of all, the more people gather, the more housing for those

who in need should be provided.  However, land for house

construction is not the type of resources which can be granted

infinitely. Therefore, housing fees tend to be increasing and give

negative impacts on human well-being. It is because they can't lead

their lives  with in very spacious house. For example, houssing fees of

New York City are notorious, even though space ratio per house is

relatively small compared with houses of the other rural areas

affordable at the same amount.

Second, it is certain that the roads can be packed with people

using transportation, at least at a specific time.  If public

transportation is well built up enough to cover the needs of people,

it could relieve more of the traffic problem. However, inconvenient

factors can be still exist if the tendency of population growth seems

upwards. It can be impossible to catch up with the speed of

population increase, even if they struggle to set up a public

infrastructure for traffic.  Even people living suburban areas of big

cities can  realize severe traffic jam problems during rush hours.

That can be main cause of lessesning the feeling of satisfaction

about human life.

Next, it is reported that people living in urban areas, especially

mega-cities, are likely to lose the worthy traits needed for being a

desirable type of person. They easily lose generosity and patience

towards others. Reportedly, it is because chance to relieve stresses

accompanying city life is seldom given through nature. Human

beings have a tendency to seek peace within nature. So, if people

stay at a place surrounded by concrete buildings, that makes human

mind infertile and causes the lack of a human good personality.

In summary, I have to insist that living for a long time at the where

narrow and crowded conditions are can't be favorable circumstances

to well human beings. Human beings should live in harmony with

nature.
